Broom Sales - Quarterly
The Lions sell high quality brooms several times a year at local grocery stores. All money collected through broom sales goes to sight and hearing conservation projects here in South Carolina. Ongoing - Secondhand Dress Sale
The Lions Club will be accepting donations of formal and semi-formal dresses, ball gowns, evening gowns, etc. We will host a sale at the Lions Club on a date to be determined and sell the dresses at reasonable prices. Proceeds will go towards funding of local projects and support of local organizations in need. If you would like to donate a dress please contact us via email.
Mobile Health Screenings
The Lions Club volunteers travel to local schools and conduct hearing and vision screening on students using the South Carolina Lions Charitable Services Mobile Health Screening Unit. This annual volunteer event helps to identify children with hearing and vision problems and guides them to getting the services necessary to address their needs.
Eyeglass/Hearing Aid Recylcling - Year Round
The Lions Club accepts dontaions of eyeglasses and hearing aids that are no longer wanted or needed. The eyeglasses and hearing aids are cleaned and redistributed to people in need who may not otherwise be able to get them. Contact a Lion today to arrange to donate or obtain eyeglasses or hearing aids.
Cell Phone Recycling - Year Round
Used cellular telephone are accepted by the Lions club as a tax deductible donation. Donated cell phones are sent to Lions Charitable Services in Columbia where they are recycled in accordance to EPA regulaions or refurbshed and sold. 100% of the proceeds will help fund vision and hearing conservation programs in South Carolina.
