Meetings

Choosing “Environmental Sustainability” is key to the uniqueness as a community.

Since October 2018 our members and volunteers enjoy fun and caring together at our Community Sewing Bees in Swan Reach at the Anglican Church Hall of a Tuesday.

This is always a fun day, and usually have folk popping in to say hello, and to learn about what we are doing and why, as well as either dropping off some unwanted recycled materials, wool, eye spectacles, unwanted hearing aids, unwanted postage stamps etc

Others pop in to purchase some finished refurbed items or to ask if we can help them mend something that is broken …. and so our sustainability program which started initially with Twin Rivers Boomerang Bags as a Lions Project, continues to grow and expand into other areas of sustainability including repairing hems, canvas shoes and slippers (where the toes become exposed etc).
