DAFFODIL DAY 2023 Annual fund raiser

We rased $1,169.00 and donated to the Cancer Society.

 

FIRE BRIGADE DONATION

We donated $1,600.00 to the Tuakau Fire Brigade to purchase a Milwaukee Battery Powered Metal Cutting Saw, the reason was that most shops have roller doors and in case of a fire they can cut the door to enter.

 

 STARSHIP ICU PROJECT                                                                                    

Lions Clubs throughout New Zealand raised $406,700.00 to fund a new PICU unit at  Starship Hospital Auckland. We raised $4,000.00 and donated to the project   

CAMP QUALITY (Camp for children with Cancer)                           

 We annually support this event at Wesley College 

 

         SCHOOL'S  AG  DAYS

This is an annual event where we donate our time manning the BBQ

 

TUAKAU SEA SCOUTS

 

We donated 2 Sunburst yachts to the Tuakau Sea Scouts

 

FREE FIRE WOOD

We annually deliver free firewood to the senior citizens of Tuakau for those that require it.

 

KIDS OFF THE COUCH - Obstacle Course

 

This is an annual event which is free to children between 8 - 15 years old restricted to our Tuakau Lions district.   There are approximately 25 obstacles.  Each entry on successfully completing the course receive a gold medal, tumbler of orange juice and a mini bar of chocolate.

 

TUAKAU CHRISTMAS PARADE

We annually run the Tuakau Chrismas Parade in it's entiety.and erect and dismantle the pole decorations.( Flags etc,)

          Road side clean up of rubbish

We annually support this event along with members of the public and clubs within Tuakau.

We provide morning tea consisting of tea or coffee, scones jam and whipped cream.

We also get involved with the “Roadside rubbish clean up” within Tuakau.

This once again is Lions providing “Community Service”
