Mount Stuart, Townsville

MT STUART overlooks Townsville, the summit is a 25 minute drive from the Townsville CBD, with an elevation of 584 metres..The top of Mt Stuart is a first class viewing platform with panoramic views of Townsville City and the surrounding Tropical Savanna and Coast. In the distance you can see Magnetic Island and the Great Barrier Reef.

Mount Stuart is also used for commercial and ABC Queensland television transmission, as well as a Bureau of Meteorology radar station.
