The Town of Hoosick Lions Club is honored to once again participate in the PTA Fall Festival to be held at Hoosick Falls Central School on Saturday October 25, 2014.

This year the Town of Hoosick Lions Club is thrilled to have Kathryn Miklowitz, KidSight Outreach Specialist with the Northeast Association of the Blind at Albany, available to conduct eyesight screening for children ages 2 - 12. She will be screening children from 10 A.M. - 1 P.M. on Saturday October 25th at the PTA Fall Festival.

Kathryn has visited the area in the past to assess the vision of children. The results of her screening have detected eyesight issues at an early stage in time to achieve approproate correction. The screening takes less then 10 minutes per child, is noninvasive, fun and is free of charge. Younger children may benefit the most since vision screening for those younger then 5 years of age often does not occur until they are older. A parental/guardian consent form is required.

Plan on coming to the Fall Festival and visiting Kathryn to have your child's vision checked. While you are there, stop by our Lions food table to buy a great hamburger or hot dog and to learn more about Lionism!
