The Lions club of Thiruneermalai was sponsored by the Lions Club of Chennai Chromepet West under the guidance of Lion S. Sambandan, extended by MJF Lion G. Gajendran and installed by the then Governor PMJF Lion Kondaseni Bhasker on 30th July 2005. The club was chartered on 10th August 2005.
