Sydenham & District Lions Club  :

December :  We continued our traditional Poinsettia Blitz...  huge success again all 248 poinsettia were sold and now being enjoyed throughout the area... they were stunning and Crimson Red just popped in colour.  Thankyou to our continued Lions who sold and sold.and sold!!!   and of course to those who bought the beautiful plants. Wonderful Event for Christmas!

 Lighting of Village ChristmasTree at Township Hall  Nov 25th 2016

* We hosted our 1st and hopfully annual, event to a wonderful crowd of 100 with help from the Sydenham Womens Institute who helped to provide the baking treats .  Hot coco was served to help keep us all warm, while Christmas Carols  (led by local friend Jason Siver) were sung with beautiful voices!  so looking forward to 2017!   

* Centennial Day of Service ...on MAY 7th ...in keeping with an enviromental theme   our Lions Members will be working on a local roadside cleanup...Watch for the Yellow Vests!

We will be working  on Rutledge Road  just west of Silverbrook Nurseries!  

* Ramping up for our Major Fund Raiser ...watch for our Members selling raffle  tickets at businesses throughout our community....May-June with the draw for the lucky winners on Canada Day July1st at the Sydenham Point Festivities... Winners will be announced around the  4pm  time

* Our very first  Lions Road Toll  July 30 2016 , location:  George st and Wheatly St in Sydenham village from  9am - 1pm
