Lion Charlene Frye has been a member of the Cayce-West Columbia Lions Club since July of 2001 when she joined her late father's club. She served on the Board of Directors for two terms before becoming Club President for two years, from 2008-2010. Charlene served as Zone Chair from 2010-2011 and 1st Vice District Governor from 2011-2012. She attended the District Governor Elect Seminar in Busan, Korea in June of 2012 to be the District Governor of 32-D.

Lion Charlene attended the USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in September of 2012. She attended the Senior Lions Leadership Institute in Chicago in 2009 and the Southeastern Lions Leadership Institute in Tennessee in 2008. She received the International President's Certificate of Appreciation in 2012.

She is a lifelong resident of the Cayce-West Columbia area and is active in the community. Lion Charlene graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Marketing degree and is a commercial real estate appraiser with Property Solutions, LLC in Columbia.

Lion Charlene is a member of St. James Luthern Church in Red Bank and serves on the Social Ministry Committee. She is married to Carrol W. Frye, Jr. and they have three children, Jennifer, Zachary and Lion Stephanie, Secretary of the USC Campus Club. They are blessed with four grandchildren, Hayden, Emiy, Kelsey and Sam.
