Process:
- A Lion with good standing sponsors (presents to the club) a prospective member (applicant) at a regularly scheduled Lions meeting or event to orient the prospective member to our Club and its activities.
- If the applicant is interested in joining after attending at least one or two club meetings, he/she must complete the LCI member application and the sponsor must complete the New Member Sponsor Questionnaire and present those two items together to the Sun Prairie Lions Club Membership Chair or member of the Membership Committee.
- The Membership Committee will review the application and sponsor questionnaire and make a recommendation to the Sun Prairie Lions Board of Directors.
- The Board will consider the prospective member application and Membership Committee recommendation and approve or decline the application by majority board vote (per By-laws) using the most expeditious means necessary (email to entire board, in-person board meeting, etc.).
- If membership is approved, the applicant must pay Club dues at their earliest convenience at which time they will be added to the Club roster and registered with LCI.
The goal is to have the entire process take no longer than 30 days to complete once an application has been received by the Membership Committee.
