Vision Screening

Sturgeon Bay Lions screen children in 15 Door County schools in partnership with the Door County Health Department.  Early screening helps detect and prevent vision problems in our youth.  Vision is one of the marjor missions in Lions and we are proud to be part of this.

Lions Leader Dog Program

Leader Dog For The Blind provides guide dogs to people who are blind or visually impaired to enhance their mobility, independence and quality of life.  Each year 270 individuals are paired with a guide dog.  This is a life-changing experience that opens the door to safety, independence and self-worth.  This program is funded by Lions.

Used Eye Glasses

Wisconsin Lions have been collecting used glasses for over 30 years.  The Wisconsin Lions Foundation Eye Glass Recycling Center furnishes eye glasses for mission trips and eye clinics in Mexico and Central America.
