• Four Million Pairs of eyeglasses are thrown away each year.
   
• Millions of people in developing nations are pushed deeper into poverty simply because they do not have eyeglasses.
   
• Usable eyeglasses collected in your community are prepared for re-use by Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centres and shared with people in need through international sight missions. The glasses enable people to see, read, work, support their families, and to be independent.
