Lions Club of Canada is part of an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 202 countries who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.

Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.

Beginning in 1917, the association of Lions clubs has  provided millions of people with the opportunity to give  something back to their communities.

On June 26th, 1972 a charter was issued to the St. Joseph Island Lions Club. Thirty six members were listed on this charter. We are proud to say five of these original “Charter Members” are still active in the club.

We invite you and/or your spouse to become a member of our club by calling (705) 989-4110 or email: or talk to any member of the club. You are also welcome to attend a dinner meeting or business meeting or both, to experience first-hand, what we do in our community. A list of on-going projects is listed under “PROJECTS” on the Home Page.

Please consider membership and help us fulfill our motto,
