Lion LIfe Membership Awarded
STELLARTON - District Governor Wayne Little, center, presented the Stellarton and Area Lions Club president Rod Buell, right, with a life membership, which recognizes Buell’s more than 40 years service as a Lion and his outstanding dedication to the principles of Lionism and service to the community Monday evening.
Little said Buell was presented with the life membership because he is a driving force behind the Stellarton and Area Lions Club and a leader in club activities. He also noted that Buell has been instrumental in recruiting new members.
“Without him, the club would likely have folded,” Little said.
Also in the photo is Zone Chairman Francois Rochon, left. The Stellarton & Area Lions Club meets monthly on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Air Force Club in Stellarton. New members are welcome.
