GARDEN CITY LIONS CLUB PARTNERS WITH ALEXANDRA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
IN SUPPORT OF THEIR BREAKFAST PROGRAM
Lion Chuck has been working tirelessly purchasing cereals in support of the Alexandra School Breakfast Club. To date, funding has also been donated on a regular basis to help with the purchasing of such staples as cereals, juices and milk. Members of the Garden City Lions Club have agreed to make the needs of Alexandra School a priority and are seeking different avenues to secure this on-going partnership. Alexandra is currently under construction and upon completion will be renamed Harriet Tubman Public School. This state-of-the-art building will bring together Maywood, Memorial and Alexandra Schools. Given this amalgamation, the need for a well supported breakfast program will be an essential service in the coming months and years.
