Centennial Project

On September 25 2021 the St. Albert Host Lions Club was able to complete our long-delayed Centennial Project. The City of St. Albert organized the Clean and Green RiverFest with the goal of restoring the river bank with native shrubs and trees. Our commitment was to fund the purchase of 440 trees and shrubs.

The Lions Canada-wide Centennial Tree challenge has resulted in the planting of an estimated 177,500 trees - this effort in St. Albert will increase that by 440.

Thanks to everyone who participated and helped out!
