Lions Award 39th Melvin Jones Fellowship: Lion Zone Chairman Ron Bollinger II (right) presented the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award to Lion Mike Sterner at the club’s June 26 meeting honoring Lion Mike’s service to the club. The award includes a $1000 donation to the Lions Club International Foundation to support the Foundation’s humanitarian efforts throughout the world.

Lions Honor Scholarship Recipient: Lion Scholarship Chairman Mike Sterner presented the $1500 Terry Lehr Lions Scholarship check to Lilah Shaub at the club’s May 8 meeting. Lilah, who plans to major in Physical Therapy at Lebanon Valley College, won the 32nd annual scholarship for her essay describing how she will use her studies to advance the goals of Lionism. The scholarship is named in honor of late Lion Terry Lehr who served as scholarship chairman for many years. Terry's wife Rachel was on hand for the presentation.

Lions Honor Scholarship Recipient: Lions Scholarship Chairman Mike Sterner presented the $1500 Fred Burns Memorial Scholarship check to Aurdin Sorrell at the club’s May 8 meeting. The scholarship, named for late Lion Fred Burns, is awarded to a senior who plans to major in business. Aurdin will be attending Millersville University University where he plans to major in Business Management.

Lions Support Local Four Diamonds Mini THON: Lion Vice President Ron Bollinger II presented a check for $500 to the members of the Spring Grove High School Mini THON team at the club’s March 13th meeting. The Mini THON team visited the club to talk about their efforts to raise money to fight childhood cancer.

Lions and Windy Hill on Campus-Senior Center Team up for Gift Card Bingo Fundraiser: Two hundred bingo players came to Windy Hill on Campus on March 8th to enjoy an afternoon of bingo, 50/50 drawings, raffles, pull tabs, special games, and food, and to support the Lions and the Senior Center. The event raised $3663 for the clubs Community Betterment Fund.

Lions Support Growing Fresh Produce to Feed the Hungry: Lion President David Erlemeier (left) presented a check for $100 to Richard Bernstein, Executive Director of Fresh Fruits Farms at the club’s February 13 meeting. Fresh Fruit Farms distributed 4.7 million pounds of food in 2024 in Maryland, Pennsylvania and six other states.

Lions Help Fund Lions District 14-C Projects: Lion Zone Chair Ron Bollinger III (right) presented Lion District Governor Galen Burkholder with a check for $540 at the clubs January 9th meeting. The money will be used to help fund District projects including: Pre-School Vision Screening, Beacon Lodge, Lions Club International Foundation, Leader Dog for the Blind, Sight Conservation and Eye Research, Hearing Research, Diabetes Awareness, and Lions Quest Life Skills Program.

Lions Help Local Families at Christmas: Christmas Baskets Chairman Lion Dennis Myers (first row second from left) and fellow Lions, with friends and family posed for a picture before delivering all the fixings for a family Christmas dinner to 24 families in the Spring Grove Community. In addition to the dinners, the club also distributed canned goods and toys donated by the Spring Grove Elementary School, and donated Kennie’s Market gift cards.
