Our Service Activities

During Lion Year 2020-21, our main charitable effort continued to be our eye sight programs for children and adults. We provided eye exams and glasses for over 50 Spotsy adults and children in need totaling roughly $4,000 in services. Despite the impacts from the pandemic, we continued to provide our core services to the community.

To support local families and Spotsylvania County Public Schools, we provided a $1,000 scholarship to three Spotsy high school students. In addition, we supported the Spotsylvania Department of Social Services Adopt a Family for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and supported several Lions Charities that provided support to the community. We look forward to an even more successful upcoming year.

In Lion Year 2020-2021, our main fund raising events were our annual golf tournament, a Valentine's Day wine gift bag, and a Kindness Matters postcard sale. Our traditonal Art and Wine Show and Adult Spelling Bell were cancelled due to the pandemic.  We also sold White House Ornaments and have a Poinsettia sale around the Holidays to raise funds to provide services to the local community.
