Rhythm & Ribs Festival 2020 Cancellation Due to COVID-19
To our loyal public, the Spartanburg Southside Lions Club would like to thank you for your support of our annual Rhythm & Ribs Festival for the past four years. Our vision for this festival could not have been a success without you. However, it is with a heavy heart that I inform you that the festival has been cancelled for this year. In an effort to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19, we are adhering to Governor Henry McMaster’s ordinance that prohibits 50 or more people from gathering in large crowds. We want everyone to stay safe.
We know that these are difficult times for everyone. It will now be even more difficult for those people who are struggling to meet the daily financial necessities of their family. Proceeds from the festival helped to lessen those struggles for many in our community. That is why we still need your financial contributions. If you would like to help us continue the work that we’ve done in the past to help these individuals, we kindly ask you to consider making a donation, of any amount, to our organization to help fund these community projects. Our PayPal link is on the website at www.rhythmandribs.org. You will see the DONATE button on the home page. Just click on that button to make your donation. Also, if you love people and have a desire to help others, we invite you to become a member of the Spartanburg Southside Lions Club. Christmas Gala & Silent Auction 2018
Join us for an "Evening of Elegance" at our annual Christmas Gala and Silent Auction. Proceeds from our Christmas Gala help to fund our numerous community services projects such as: Backpack Buddies which provides weekend snacks and savory foods to children and the eyeglasses that we purchase for children with vision impairments. Businesses are welcome to purchase a table or donate items for the auction. Everyone is welcome please see a member to secure a ticket. You don't want to miss this event get your tickets before they sell out!

The inaugural Rhythm and Ribs Festival celebrates delicious barbeque, good times, live entertainment and family fun. Cook teams from all over the Southeast and beyond will be competing for top prize in a sanctioned KCBS Backyard Barbecue competition! There is also a People's Choice competition for the best pork butts and beef briskit. Judges needed! Only $10 to sample all the barbecue!
The festival hosts an amazing lineup of bands including Mac Arnold & Plate Full O' Blues, Wanda Johnson, The Enforcers and more!
Friday: Gate opens at 4PM. Music until 10:40PM.
Saturday: Gate opens at 11PM. Music until 10:40PM.
General Admission – $5 - Kids under 12 – Free - Active Military w/ID – Free!

Vendors will be offering ice cold beer, sodas and other options in addition to delicious foods like burgers, pretzels, popcorn, candy and more. There is a Kids' Zone with inflatable, games and activities and Barnet Park has an interactive water fountain to keep them cool!
