Meetings

For many years the Lions Club of South Whidbey has been active in the South Whidbey area.  In addition to the Lions well know fund raising activities, the Lions Club of South Whidbey has helped those in an Estate situation, due to personal circumstances, that require help in disposing of household items no longer needed.  Estate Sales are a major fund raiser for the Club that provides opportunities to the disadvantage for sight and hearing problems and/or scholarships for local students.

If you or a member of your family needs help disposing of Estate items, please contact our club at our current addess, or by phone, in Freeland Washington.

Those in need of sight or hearing assistance may contact our club to receive the proper applications for assistance.

There is a picture of Lion Clayt Engebretsen in the Photo Gallery.  This is a picture of him and his bird houses that he has volunteered to make as a South Whidbey Lions Fund Raiser with a goal of raising $1000 to donate to a local food bank to help those in need of food.  He sales his bird house of $20 and if you are interested in purchasing one, you may call him at 360-331-6290 and make an appointment.  Lion Clayt is one of the longest serving members of the Club.  In addition to his service to Lions, he was a pilot in WW 2 and then later served as a school teacher.  He has been active in many projects for the Lions Club and it the true example of the Lions "We Serve".
