Picnic in the Musical Garden for Students at Louis Braille School in Sofia, Bulgaria
On October 20, 2013, Lions Club Sofia CyberSophia organized a picnic for students from Louis Braille School for Visually Impaired. Kids were excited by the ‘singing’ facilities in the Musical Garden in front of Bulgarian National Theatre.
While enjoying the beautiful weather and refreshing, our friends told us what they mostly like to do in and out of school. 10-year old Martin enjoys school's sport events, especially athletics. Peter, who spends holidays with his grandfather in Smolyan, is challenged by mathematics. Smiley Anastasia (16) loves to do music and sings in the choir at the school. Our lively group taking pictures with the Lions banner catch the attention of many passers-by. Later, club members, students and two of the teachers enjoyed Mass in memory of Joan of Arc, De Pacem and Berlin Mass, performed by the National Philharmonic Choir in Bulgaria Music Hall. At the end of this exciting day, club members discussed how to continue its service for the new friends from Louis Braille School.
