On September 19, 2021 we lost a very dear friend and member, Lion Shelley Stone. She was an integral part of this club. She conducted and organized the annual Walkathon at the Emily Oaks Nature Center raising funds for our club, and one of her favorite projects was to conduct the annual Peace Poster contest, recruiting many young people to participate. She served multiple times in various offices including that of president. She will be dearly remembered.

One of our charter members, Lion Walter Holden, passed in March of 2022. His service to Lionism spans over many decades. His was a great loss to this club and many of those who knew him. Along with serving multiple times in various offices for our club, he also served as District governor in 2012. Lion Walt distributed many collection boxes to collect eyeglasses, hearing aids, etc. His other favorite project was organizing Candy Day to raise funds for Lions Foundation of Illinois. We won't be the same without him.
