New Member Welcomed
At the General Meeting on July 23, we welcomed new member Patricia Sedam. Pat was sponsored by the irrepressible Lion Monty Montgomery and the best Lions Club west of the Rockies is pleased to have her join our ranks!!! District 37 (Montana) Governor Richard Gessling gave Pat a warm welcome.
LCIF Auction Success - On May 28, 2015, we held our annual LCIF auction to raise money for the Lions Club International Foundation, which makes grants available to people around the world, including disaster relief in Nepal. For more information, click HERE. About 55 members and spouses attended our gala Mexican-themed evening of fun and fundraising. Just under $4,000 raised!! We had our locally grown Tres Amigos Mariachi Band, a live auction featuring reknowned Auctionologist Bruce Wold, a silent auction of mutliple items, and an incredible array of potluck food. Lion Monty Montgomery was presented the Recruitment Achievement Award by President Duane Anderson at the March 26, 2015 General Meeting.
At the Lions annual Easter Egg & Treasure Hunt on April 4, 2015 at Seeley Lake Elementary School and Lions Community Park, Lion Emily Rindal was caught on camera in her Oscar Award winning role as the Easter Bunny. She also won Best Costume. View more photos.
Lions Community Park - Very successful work party at the park on Saturday, May 9 from 9 AM - Noon. We had about 15 intrepid souls, including Committee Chair Neil Ruttenbur, the indomitable Task Master. The steadfast crew included Lions Don Mondul, Bill & Christi Barr, John & Kathy McTear, Dick Lewis, Steve Bowen, Ken Kronsperger, Tim Berry, Jim Collins, Mike Marshall, Aaron Peterson, and Carol White. Woodchuckers at Work - Lions came to the aid of a fellow Lion, Sean Dalrymple, on July 9. Sean suffered a pretty severe accident and we had a large truck load of firewood to unload, split, and stack in his wood sheds. Many stout Lions participated in this event. See more photos HERE
