Operation Thanksgiving News Update

The devastation that hurricane Helene left to western North Carolina is nothing less than a tragedy. Communities that were once thriving have ceased to exist and many are in need of assistance. It is the mission of Operation Thanksgiving to provide a Thanksgiving Day feast for as many of the impacted victims as possible.

Chief of Operatuions
David Burke

Chief of Operations, David Burke shares his vision at the WDLZ studio. He mentions that while God has placed this mission in his heart, the support from the community has been surreal. People from all over have been providing money, time and donations. Operations Thanksgiving currently has enough supplies to provide food for over 5000 people.

This includes the equipment and vehicles and staff that will provide this massive bounty to the community. But David stated that not just food will be provided but provisions will be left behind.

The Operations Thanksgiving Steering committee will be meet weekly on Sunday's and news updates will be shared so you can track this progress of this important mission.
