Lions Club International
Founder- Melvin Jones was Secretary-treasurer of Lions Clubs International. He was born in Fort Thomas, Arizona. His father was a captain in the United States Army. In 1886 or '87, the family moved east when his father was transferred.
Mission & History- Lions serve. It’s that simple, and it has been since we first began in 1917. Our clubs are places where individuals join together to give their valuable time and effort to improving their communities, and the world.
Services- The Service Journey is an approach to living and serving well. To making a real difference people can see and feel. It encompasses four simple phases: Learn, Discover, Act, and Celebrate. We love these words because they transcend organizational formulas. They have no borders. They are the essence of Lions and Leos.
If the past 100 years have taught us anything, it’s that as we serve, we grow. And we were never meant to stop. Service is our journey. Let’s explore it together.

Lions Club Of Satara Ajinkya
We are very proud and pleased to introduce our club "Lions Club Satara Ajinkya" to you all.
We feel very honoured and privileged to be the club formed in the Centennial year of Lions Club international.
Founded in the year 2016 in the month of December, by the visionary Lion Balakrishna Jadhav under whose capable and strong leadership, the club has emerged as one of the most prominent and active clubs in the region in a very short period of time.
Lions Club Satara Ajinkya takes great pride in declaring that we have always been in the top 10 clubs under "below 30 members" category club.
Our club is a home of one of the finest doctors, medical professionals, lawyers and teachers from Satara district who have rate inclination for social service.
Our club especially known for its organising skills as well as time management.
We have always obtained top ranking in various reportings which are needed to be done on monthly basis.
Our focus has always been on the service targets set by Lions Club international i.e vision, diabetes, youth development and food for hunger.
We as a club of professionals inspired by higher values of social service look forward to take our club in in the top position not only in the region but also in the whole district and in the country in the future.
