About SDULC

Lions Club International (LCI) is the world’s largest service organization. As of January of 2016, it has over 46,000 clubs and about 1.4 million members worldwide. 100% of funds raised for charity purposes are donated to the recipients. San Diego United Lions Club (SDULC) of LCI MD 4L-6 was organized and chartered on May 17, 2011. PDG Blessie Trott is our sponsor and our guiding lion is PDG Bucky Blottin. Dr. Allen W. Chan is the Charter President.

In November of 2012 SDULC had the honor to sponsor and to guide the formation of the new San Diego Elite Lions Club, SDELC. SDULC has also established the San Diego United Lions Cubs Club (SDULCC) program for our young volunteers at and under the age of twelve to start providing community services, to develop compassion and leadership at an early age. The Charter President of SDULCC is Cady Mariano and the Guardian/Advisor is Lion Lee Mariano. The San Diego United Leo Club for young philanthropists between the age of 13 and 18 has also been chartered on July 28, 2015 with Cady Mariano as the Charter President and Lion Lee Mariano and Lion Allen Chan as Advisors.

Nancy Trinh, President

Nancy Trinh is a Vietnamese immigrant.  She came to the United States in 1975 after the fall of Saigon and was settled in San Diego, California in April 1975.  She opened the La Jolla Hairs Design in 1985.  Nancy is now the owner of Nancy’s Floral Design on 4646 Convoy Street, San Diego 92111 since 1995.

Nancy is well-known figure in the Vietnamese Community of San Diego.  She has participated in many community events to preserve the Vietnamese tradition.  In 2012 Nancy joined Lions Club to further promote the communication and understanding between various ethnic groups in San Diego area and Americans.  She is very active in helping people around the world who suffer from natural disasters.  She has organized a gala to raise money for the victims of 2011 earthquake off the Pacific coast of Tōhoku in Japan.  In 2013, Nancy organized another very successful gala to raise more than 13,000 dollars for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. 

Nancy Trinh is the President of the San Diego United Lions Club (2015-2016).  She have served as Vice President of SDULC (2014-2015)
