The Salt Lake Lions Club members are volunteers who work together to make our community a better place by assiting the visually impaired in the Salt Lake Valley. 

  • GIFT OF SIGHT: Our eyeglass program provides examinations and eyeglasses for those in need in the Salt Lake City area. In 2009 we provided 314 pairs of glasses and are expecting over 500 will be needed this yearWe provide eye glasses and examinations to needed individuals.  
  • BARRIER FREE SENSORY PLAYGROUND: The Salt Lake Lions Club is working with the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind/Salt Lake Campus Jean Massieu School of the Deaf to build a barrier free sensory playground for children of all abilities. This facility will be open to the public during off-school hours for use by children throughout the Salt Lake Valley.
  • VISION CLINIC: A longer term project is in the works to provide a permanent vision clinic in the downtown Salt Lake City area to provide vision services for those in need. This will be done in cooperation with the 4th Street Clinic.
