Meetings

The International Lions Club was established in 1917 and is now the largest service organization in the world. Salisbury Lions Club was chartered on May 23, 1923. For over 100 years, the Salisbury Lions have been dedicated to serving the community.

Our primary mission has always been to help those in need to receive eye care, glasses, and hearing aids. We provide vision screening in schools throughout Wicomico County.  We help underwrite eye examinations and glasses for needy within the community.

Dedicated Lions Club volunteers retrieve, repair and distribute medical mobility equipment.  This included wheel chairs, canes and walkers, scooter, and medical beds to help local residences maintain quality of life.

We encourage young people to get involved through our Leo program (young Lions) at Wicomico, Park Side, and Bennit High Schools.  The Leos serve their community by packaging and delivering meals for Santa’s Angels, and other service projects.

Our philanthropy contributes to the Lions Vision and Research Center at Johns Hopkins, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Maryland Eye Bank, sponsoring youth sports, scholarships for graduating seniors, and many others.

We serve.  Come join us at a meeting, upcoming event, or contact us about Lions Club.
