CHICKEN BAR-B-Qs

Each month during the Spring and Summer (and somewhat into the Fall), our club holds a Chicken BBQ fundraiser.  We sell a half chicken, roll, applesauce, and a drink for $8.00.  Proceeds from our April 19 BBQ will be donated towards the purchase of a new vision screening machine.

EYEGLASS COLLECTION

One of our ongoing projects, along with all of the clubs in District 14-E, is the collection of used eyeglasses for recycling.  If you have any old eyeglasses laying around that you would like to donate, contact us.

ROSTRAVER LEO CLUB

The Rostraver LEO Club is a youth extension project of Lions Club International, which is created to present young men and women in the community the opportunity to develop leadership and social skills as well as a sense of the importance of community service.  The LEO Club is open to all students in the Belle Vernon Area school district age 12 through seniors in high school.

JARED GIARRUSSO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

To honor the memory of the late Jared Giarrusso, a member of the Rostraver LEO Club, the Rostraver Lions, along with the Belle Vernon Area Marching Band Boosters, sponsor an annual scholarship award.  Two senior students in the Belle Vernon Area School District that are involved in the Rostraver LEO Club, the BVA Marching, or the BVA Audi/Visual Club are awarded scholarships in the amount of $500.  Students interested in applying for these scholarships should see their guidance counselor.
