Meetings

Roseville Host Lions Club supports numerous community service projects and needs throughout Roseville and around the world.  See our calendar for upcoming Events!

Our largest service  project is spearheading the Christmas Food Basket Program, providing in conjunction with many other service organizations, Food Baskets to those in need.  With the help of volunteers in 2019  Food Baskets were delivered to over 400 Roseville homes.

Roseville Host Lions work year round with the Tommy Apostolos Fund raising funds for the annual Kids Shopping Spree, clothing over 400 school aged children each December.  In addition to co-ordinating volunteer shoppers at the Event, we provide Bar Service at the annual dinner/dance fundraiser.  The 2020 dinner/dance will be held on March 14th.  To learn more visit Tommyafund.com

One of the best ways to find out about what Roseville Host Lions Club is doing in the community is to attend one of our regularly scheduled evening meetings.  We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm at 107 Sutter Avenue in Roseville.

2020 HOLIDAY FOOD BASKET PROGRAM CANCELED:

The Roseville Host Lions coordinate the Christmas Holiday Food Basket activities for many local organizations including Kiwanis, Rotary, Soroptimist, Veterans, Roseville schools students, youth and scouting groups. Our mission is to provide as much food and other essentials to those families in need during the holidays. THANK YOU for all your support over the many years!

The last six plus months have introduced many unexpected challenges, namely COVID-19. After much thought and discussion it has been decided that too many health concerns and safety unknowns exist to move forward with this event.  Safety concerns dominate this decision!  Hundreds of volunteers could be at risk. Volunteers include: the students that assemble and tape the boxes, Placer Food Bank volunteers and staff that help to make this program work and the individuals, families and community volunteers that fill the boxes and deliver to the 500 Roseville families in need. The danger of spreading the Covid-19 virus is just too high of a risk.

In summary, I would like to THANK YOU for all your support over the past years and wish you and your families a healthy, safe and happy holiday season. Looking forward to resuming the Holiday Food Basket Program in 2021!

Sincerely,

Bernie Milmoe
