The largest service organization in the world, with over 1.3 million members strong. The Lions consistently rank in the top of the NGO service community. The Riverside club was founded in 1962 and has served our community faithfully since then. EVERY dollar we raise goes back to helping others, nothing is deducted to cover overhead costs
The Riverside Club services the Ellwood City and Beaver County areas. We assist in obtaining eye glasses for those in need. we also support the Riverside School District by honoring a Student of the Month and offering two $500 scholarships per year. We also donate money to the food banks in our area and provide the opportunity for two of our members to attend Beacon Lodge camp each year.
We support the International projects as designated by our International President. We are in the midsts of a three year $50,000,000 project along with the Carter Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation to help stamp out measles in under-developed countries.
