Rio Vista Lions Club Donates Shirts to Hurricane Helene Victims in Florida
The Rio Vista Lions Club continues to exemplify its motto, "We Serve," by extending a helping hand to those in need far beyond our local community. Recently, the club made a generous donation of new shirts to the victims of Hurricane Helene in Florida, providing much-needed relief to those affected by the devastating storm.
This donation is just one of many humanitarian efforts the Rio Vista Lions Club has been involved with over the years. Whether it’s disaster relief, supporting local families, or organizing community events, the Lions are dedicated to making a positive impact wherever help is needed.
A special thanks goes to Rio Vista Lions Club members Ken Recore, Shannon Lewallen, Frank Reid, Danny Lindstrom, and Dan Simpson, whose teamwork and commitment made this donation possible. They organized, boxed, and shipped the shirts, ensuring they reached those in need as quickly as possible.
“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Helene,” said Lion Ken Recore. “If we can ease a bit of suffering with some new clothes, we are thrilled to help in any way we can.”
The Rio Vista Lions Club encourages others to join them in their ongoing efforts to provide support in times of crisis. With members constantly looking for ways to serve and make a difference, this is a perfect example of the power of community and compassion in action.
