Reno Arch Ray Pezonella Leo Club

The Reno Arch Ray Pezonella Leo Club provides an opportunity for youth to help the community while having fun. The club is sponsored by the Reno Arch Lions Club, which has been serving the community since 1952. Leos are a youth arm of Lions. Lions Club International 

Leo Club activities include service projects, fundraisers and social functions. The Leo motto, Leadership - Experience – Opportunity, is fulfilled as members work together in response to the needs of others.

Who Benefits from the Leo Club?

Young People. Participation in Leo activities and projects helps young people prepare for the future by developing leadership, organizational and social skills. Members’ experience increased self-esteem and personal growth as they meet challenges and accept responsibilities. By volunteering their time and talents for the benefit of others, Leos learn firsthand the value and rewards of service. Leo club involvement can start young men and women on a lifetime of helping others. Members’ receive certificates of volunteer service hours for participation in club activities, which fulfills high school and college community service requirements.

The Community.

Leo projects contribute to the wellbeing of the communities which make up the greater Reno, NV. community need is most important to them.

Membership and Club Meetings

Meetings are student driven with a Leo Advisor present. A Leo advisor is an adult Lion member of the Reno Arch Lions Club which is present for support and mentoring.

Membership is an application process therefore a parent signature on the application is required.

As the club fuses, members decide on projects they’d like to support. In some cases Leos will partner in the community with the Lion members. Reno Arch Lions Club Lions Leo Advisor will be (supervising, your children, because we know this is very important to parents to know their children are in a safe environment) but our true role is to mentor Leos in community service as partners hand-in-hand during community events.
