Meetings

We are looking for responsible and interested community people to join Lions and give back to our community through service.  If you would like to participate in the following activities, or have interests in how to serve others who need our help through Lions, please contact us and let's chat. We'd be glad to hear from you.

We are happy to announce the Rehoboth Beach Lions Club awarded a $1,000 scholarship to two graduating seniors of Cape Henlopen High School. The scholarship can be renewed for a total of four years upon satisfactory completion of each academic year.

We gratefully thank all businesses that responded to our request for donations in the last year. It helped Rehoboth Beach Lions continue to support our efforts to help those in need in the Rehoboth Beach area.

We participate with the combined efforts of other Lions Clubs in the area to build wheelchair ramps for families that are unable to provide for them.

Food baskets were prepared and delivered to needy families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

We continue to collect used eyeglasses, and we provide eyeglasses and loans of wheelchairs and other ambulatory equipment.to local individuals that can't afford the expense.

In conjuntion with a worldwide peace poster contest sponsored by Lions International, we sponsor a peace poster contest each fall for the budding artists in a local middle school.

Our preschool vision screening program was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we will continue that program in the spring of 2023.

We provide financial donations to several local and statewide charitable organizations both within the Lions International organization and outside Lions organizations, but we need the support.and contributions from businesses and individuals to continue that support annually.
