OUR SERVICE ACTIVITIES
Eyeglass Recycling
Our club collects used, unwanted eyeglasses through multiple collection boxes located throughout Puyallup. If you have any old pairs or eyeglasses lying around your home, please take them to one of our collection boxes and we will recycle them and get them to a person in need. Each year our club collects approximately 2,000 pair of eyeglasses through this recycling program.
Dictionary Distribution
Every year members distribute dictionaries to 3rd grade school children in the Puyallup School District. Being able to read and then comprehend what has been written is a fundamental component for education and social development. Unfortunately, millions of grade school children are not attending school to develop those basic skills.
Project New Hope
The challenges of military families are many, especially when their lives are interrupted by deployments for military conflicts. As they attempt to reinvent their dreams after they return, our members try to support them through these challenges to assure military families have the opportunity life after deployment.
Christmas Food Baskets
Each year, many families throughout the Puyallup Valley are forced to live without the comforts of a nice holiday dinner because they do not have the money to buy food. Oftentimes, these are families with small children. We use funds that we have raised to try to help some of those families in need at Christmas time so they can enjoy the blessings of the Season.
Christmas Shopping
Each year, we shop and donate $500 worth of christmas gifts to Saint Francis House for children in need.
Coat Drive
We collect, buy and donated school supplies and coats that are then donated to Saint Fransis House.
