Pilimathalawa Lions have been engaged in many projects serving the needy people in central province and mainly in yatinuwara and udunuwara electorates.

Holding health camps , Tree planting ,providing Scholarships to the Needy Students,helping sports activities in school and village level.,Supporting to eradicate epidemics in the area.

Closely work with Government Officials and other community leaders to provide services needed to the people in the area.

We provide shelter to the selected poor families who live in huts without having even basic facilities.

Akurudiriya Scholarship is a great consolation to the parents who find it so difficult to educate their children. Every year in January month over 400 school children receive  necessary Books School bag ,Shoes etc.through Akurudiriya Scholarship Programme.

Since November  this year Pilimathalawa Lions provide financial Aid to selected 133 students who live with severe hardship through Hasitha Saviya Scholarship programme sponsored by a Sri lankan Donor live in Australia.  

Tree planting is another mega project carried out by Pilimathalawa Lions transforming the environment to a greener Zone.

Pilimathalawa Club Members and their close associates are funding for all thease.Social service projects. 

Pilimathalawa Club has been rewarded by the Lions clubs  International and District 306 C1 for their exceptional dedication for Social service activities since it's inception in year 2007.
