Lions Club of Peterborough

The Lions Club of Peterborough has been a staple in the community of Peterborough for over 80 years. Lions meet the needs of the community and the world every day with the Motto “We Serve”.

Our Club is made up of service minded Women & Men dedicated to giving their time and effort to serving their community.

The lions Club Provides assistance for our community members who require such items as Glasses, Dentures, Wheelchairs, Walkers and other assistive devices & the list goes on.

The lions work hard to aid local community organizations in their fund-raisingefforts.

We are dedicated to helping the youth in our community by performing vision screening for kindergarten children in our local schools.

This web site is a valuable tool in spreading information to both the public and our members who we encourage to make use of the site and to make suggestions during its ever-changing days.

The Kawartha Bingo Sponsor's Association consists of 50 charities and non-profit organizations that participate in charitable fundraising at Delta Bingo & Gaming Centre in Peterborough.

Delta offers both electronic bingo terminals and traditional paper cards, as well as Vegas Style machine games, all in a beautiful facility. Since the grand opening in December 2005, Kawartha Bingo Sponsors Association charities have raised more than $15,000,000 for our community. This wouldn't have been possible without the ongoing support of dedicated customers. Remember, all of the money raised by our groups remains in our community supporting local programs and services.

The Peterborough Lions Club has been a member of the Kawartha Bingo Sponsor's association for many years along with other Charities & Non Profit Groups who volunteer their time at the DELTA BINGO & GAMING CENTRE.

The funds received by the Peterborough Lions Club from the weekly bingo's help fund a large number of the many requests we receive from our community, from both individuals & charities alike. These requests range from Orthotics, Wheel Chairs, Walkers, Assistive Devices, dentures, Hearing Aids, Prescription Glasses, as well as many other items. Without the sponsorship funding received from our weekly bingo assignments, the Peterborough Lions Club could not provide help to as many Charities and individuals as we currently do. From the child who needs braces to help with ear and jaw pain, the orthotics to help an individual walk, the hearing aids to help with daily activities, prescription glasses to help see the wonders of life more clearly and the many groups we provide financial support to such as the Salvation Army Appeals, Kawartha Food Share, PRHC Foundation to name just a few.

A HUGE THANK-YOU goes out to Delta Bingo and Gaming, for their continued support and to all of the Peterborough Lions Club members that continue to volunteer to help us give back to our community. Without their continued support none of this would be possible.
