Perrysburg Lions Club Is a small group of people who enjoy giving back to the community. We support vision and youth projects mostly. We also assist in feeding the hungry, recycle books, eyeglasses, and aluminum cans.
We seek community minded folks to join with us in projects. We currently work with Prevent Blindness, Inc. and Read For Literacy.
Our donations include: Lions Clubs Intl. Foundation, Ohio Lions Foundation, Pilot Dogs, Ohio Lions Eye Care Foundation, Ohio Lions Eye Research Foundation, The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio, Dick Bryan Diabetes Foundation, Assistance Dogs, and others.
Some of our service projects are: Collect new and gently used books via our partnership with Read For Literacy, Sponsor annual "Peace Poster" competition for 11-13 year olds, Sponsored two HS Sophomores to the 2014 and 2015 Hobey Leadership Conferences, and Assisted with annual Christmas party for the blind and visually impaired.
Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization with more than 1.4 million members in approximately 46,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas around the world.
