One of our major service projects was "Be A Friend" by purchasing and placing Friendship Benches in the Peoria School System.
Our accomplished goal: Place a Friendship Bench in every grade school throughout Peoria.
A program was provided by reading "The Friendship Bench" book at a student assembly
Followed by ribbon cutting ceremony and a special appearance by our "LEO" the LION.
Children were asked to sign a pledge poster in their classrooms to "be Friends".
By doing this we helped the Peoria School District with their "Stop Bullying" incentive.
