The Pender Islands Lions Club generally offers up to 12 bursaries annually, also called the Lions Culiffe Bursaries, of $500 each to students, 30 years or younger, who live on Pender and who attended high school on Saltspring Island and/or elementary school on Pender.
This years graduates will have first choice for the bursaries, but we encourage others to apply. If you waited to start your post Secondary education OR if you are returning for a subsequent year and meet our criteria we encourage you to apply.
Simply write a letter request, which also includes your your name, address, telephone and/or cell phone number, and email address and complete our application form below.
Submit your letter along with the application form and accompanying documents to the Pender Islands Lions Club via our free drop-off box located at the Western Financial Insurance office in the Driftwood Center OR mail it to:

Our cut-off date for applications for the "next" school year is July 31.
Students who receive bursaries are required to help with at least one Lions activity over the next year. Please email us at PenderIsLions@gmail.com with any questions you have.
Bursary cheques are sent out at the end of August each year to the address you have provided on the application form.
