The program is to screen children for vision problems that can lead to Amblyopia, for referral to an eye doctor. The screening is a free community service project.
UPCOMING AND CURRENT FUNDRAISERS
Legacy Project
The Pearl River Lions Club repaired three sitting benches in Central Avenue Field in June. Managed by the Pearl River School District, Central Avenue Field has a softball diamond, football/soccer practice areas, a jogging/walking track, children's playground, and a gezebo for music events. The Field is used throughout the year by residents and visitors. The Pearl River Lions Club is proud to donate our resources and manpower to keep the facility in good condition to be enjoyed by all.
Open Mic "Fun" Raisers
The Pearl River Lions Club hosts Open Mic music events the 3rd Saturday of every month from 3 pm to 6 pm at the Gentle Giant Brew Pub in Pearl River. Local muscians play popular pieces and 50/50 raffles are sold. All proceeds go to the local charities that the Pearl River Lions Club supports.
