Lions Club Paramaribo East is non-profit organization and is part of the largest volunteer service organization, Lions Club International. Our Lions Club programs include sight conservation, hearing and speech conservation, diabetes awareness, youth outreach, international relations, environmental issues, and many other programs. The Lions international motto is “ We Serve”.

After 25 years a new Lions Club was established in Suriname - Sub District 60A Region 1 making us the youngest Lions club in Suriname. Our charter date is 20th of April 2017 and our Initiator and first president is Lion Jerry Hoffman MJF.

The main focus of Lions Clubs Paramaribo East is to change lives through service for worthy causes. All funds raised by our club are generally from our local community and are used for charitable purposes in our local community. With a new vision on how we can contribute to the aims of Lion Club International we are determined to make a difference in our community.
