Welcome to the website of the Burr Ridge-Hinsdale-Oak Brook Lions Club. Since 1917, Lions Clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. From involving members in projects as local as cleaning up an area park or as far-reaching as bringing sight to the world’s blind, Lions clubs have always embraced those committed to building a brighter future for their community.
We, the members of the Burr Ridge-Hinsdale-Oak Brook Lions Club, established on March 30, 1989, are dedicated to improving our local and international communities through service and volunteerism.
Our programs are continually changing to meet new needs and greater demands, but our mission has never wavered. For over 100 years, whenever there is a need at home or around the world, Lions are there to help—We Serve.
“I appeal to you Lions, who have your sight, your hearing, you who are strong and brave and kind, will you not constitute yourselves as Knights of the Blind in the crusade against blindness.”
Helen Keller, 1925
