MEMBERS IN ACTION
Members of the North Little Rock Lions Club, under the leadership of Lion Glenna Butler, provide eye screening for students from local schools and daycares. In excess of 2,200 children and adults were screened in 2018. 359 children and adults were referred for additional testing by local eye professionals. Since 2006 over 19,400 individuals have been screened. The majority of the children screened attend a Pulaski County or North Little Rock public school. Several church daycare centers also participate in these vision screenings.
In addition to screening children's eyes, our Club assist individuals in receiving free eye examinations and eye glasses through a local optometrist.
Club members conduct an annual fish fry and a golf tournament to raise funds to pay for our vision screening programs and support other club sctivities.
If you live in the North Little Rock area and believe the vision screening program conducted by this Lions Club is beneficial to the community - then you may be Lions Club material. Please contact a Club member or just come to one of our meetings and see if being a Lion is in your future.
