EYE SCREENING

This year as in past years, we will be  screening students at North East, Elk Neck, and Calvert Elementary Schools, Cecil County, MD. Last year, Over 90 students were tested and 12 referrals to the eye doctor.  Eye screening for 2017 will be scheduled in the Spring of 2018.

EYE EXAMS -

We provide exams by Walmart and purchase eye glasses for the needy.  So far, since July 2017, we have provided eye exams to 5 individuals.  

EYEGLASSES

This year we have collected 150 eyeglasses for Lions International.  

HEARING -

Purchase Hearing aids.

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT -

For many years we maintained a sizable inventory of hospital beds, wheel chairs, canes, crutches, and many other forms of medical equipment for loan to needy in the community.  

YOUTH SERVICES:

Since 1948, we have a chartered Cub & Boy Scout Troop 131 that we help support financially.   We contribute to the North East Boys & Girls Club. We contribute annually to North East Little League, North East Football Youth League, North East Girls Sports

EDUCATION:

We award two college scholarships per year; The Henry Hammer Scholarship for the Trades; The Patton Award Scholarship to a North East high school student as on his/her grades and leadership donate funds to three area elementary schools for their express needs.  We have recently partnered with Cecil College for the Leon Demond scholarship program.  More details on the Demond Sholarship program is under Home Page, Our History.

COMMUNITY:

We provide Christmas gift certificates through the Elementary Schools that we support in Cecil County.
