EYE GLASS & HEARING AID RECYCLING
The New Westminster Lions promote the recycling of eyeglasses through CLERC - the Canadian Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centre. The glasses are cleaned, graded and sent to third world countries and provide the gift of sight to many. Hearing aid recycling is provided throught the Lions of BC Hearing Society and ultimately provides hearing devices to those who cannot afford them.We have several drop off locations within the city. Please help with the gift of sight and sound.
Interesting statistic: since 2014 when our club began collecting used eyeglasses we have collected over 1.8 million pairs of glasses and lenses. See what you have helped us do, New Westminster!
