New London, Connecticut

The members of the New London Lions Club are men and women who strive to make a difference in our local community, as well as communities worldwide. Our volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing unmet health and education needs worldwide.

In our active club, members have the opportunity to interact with others having the same goals and community service and humanitarian interests. Lions Club members contribute toward a spirit of understanding among all people, and each benefits from the wisdom and experience of others who are following the same path.  We hope that you will be interested in learning more about our club and becoming involved!

New London Lions Members, BLM Statement:

It is the sense and duty of New London Lions to support and further the movement of progress to the resolution of issues within the Black Community. We support black lives, we believe they matter, and we support the unique issues and demands that encompass the community.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Black Community, there has been an acceleration of traumatic events that disproportionally effects the community at large such as black killings by police, whites, and even blacks without regard to life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness!  Black people make up 15.43% of New London’s population. Many of our service projects and outreach activities occur and are facilitated within communities that are Black and people of color. We stand in solidarity with the Black Community as they call for equality and justice against all forms of violence, and anti-Black crimes.

If you wish to create positive change and cooperate with the Black Community and New London Lions Club Members, we are willing to work with you as, “We Serve, Together!”
