New Business

PDG Lion Leanne Pearson will arrange for our annual Lions Club social to be held sometime during the month of October.

President Lion Clint Rogers will invite the two Nekoosa students that we sponsored to attend the leadership camp in Ripon to one of our meetings for an update.

Discussion was held on the necessity of having two signatures on our activity account checks.  We pay a monthly fee for this service plus it’s a hassle at times to track down both signees for signatures thus delaying payments.  Motion by PDG Lion Herb Carlson and seconded by Lion Bob Tuttle that we eliminate the two signature requirement and instead have the treasurer be bonded.  Motion carried.  Lion Dan Schmidt will check with an insurance company on the cost of being bonded.

Lion Terry Whitmore reported that Adopt-A-Highway pickup was completed May 17th with the help of Nekoosa students from the FBLA club.  Motion by Lion Terry Whitmore and seconded by Lion Bob Birkhauser to donated $200.00 to the Nekoosa FBLA club for their help.  Motion carried.

Lion tamer Gary King conducted the drawing and winners were Lion Cal Lieber and Lion Bob Birkhauser ($5 donated to Vitamin-A).

Motion by Lion Gary and seconded by Lion Terry Whitmore to adjourn.  Motion carried.

Submitted by Lion Secretary Dan Schmidt.
