The Naples Lions Club helps out in many areas of need, throughout our community.
Since our charter year of 2003 we have raised over $120,000 for community projects.
Some of our annual fundraising events include:
- Summer cruises along Long Lake aboard the Songo River Queen II
- Harvest Days on the Naples Causeway (Apples, Pies, Cider and more!)
Here are just a few of our ongoing projects:
- Eyeglasses for needy, elderly and diabled individuals
- Kindegarten and elementary school vision screening
- Lake Region High School Student Of The Month, through the combined efforts of the Naples and Bridgton Lions Clubs.
- Lake Region High School "Skills Program"
- Lake Region High School groups competing in national competitions
- Lake Rgion High School groups providing humanitarian services
- Ongoing support for Community Resources Council and Crosswalk Food Pantry
- Memorial Day cruise to honor the service of Veterans and activie military personnel (and their families)
- Fidelco Guide Dogs
- Canine Companions for Independence
- Fuel Assistance for needy, elderly and disabled families.
- Lori's Kids (For mentally challenged adults.)
- White Cane (to support Maine Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation)
- Boy scouts summer camperships
- Cub scouts activities
- Family Scholarships At Camp Sunshine, for Rhetinal Blastoma.
