Activities Report For The Month Of December 2013
LCM Garden City actively took part during the International President Ln.Barry Palmer’s visit on 10th and 11th December 2013. Our President Ln.Vani Subramanya received a lapel pin from the International President at BNMIT College, Bangalore for sponsoring a new club called Lions Club of Mysore Kamadhenu. Region Chairman Ln.Nagaraj and Zone Chairman Ln.Nirmala graced the occassion.
Our member Ln.N.Subramanya,mjf contributed US$1000 towards LCIF and became pmjf during International President’s visit at Taj West End, Bangalore.
On 28th December, PST & I VP attended the combined Zone Advisory meeting in Lions Bhavan, Tilaknagar Mysore.
BOD & GENERAL Body meeting of our club was held on 29th December which was also an outdoor meet in Blue Lagoon Island at KRS back waters. Same day ZC.Ln.Nirmala conducted CEP programme which was very well participated by our members.
On 30th December our club organised an Eye Camp in Chikkanahalli. 10 patients underwent IOL operation at Annapoorneshwari Eye Hospital, Mysore.
Activities Report For The Month Of November 2013
LCM Garden City conducted its BOD and General Meeting for the month of November on 27th at Hotel Atrium. Our club celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava on this occassion. Well known editor of Kannada daily ANDOLANA, Sri.Rajshekar Koti was the chief guest on that auspicious day. He highlighted on our rich culture, tradition, language and kannada literature in his address.
Renowned consulting enginner Sri.C.V.Shashikumar from USA, the guest of Honour gave Power Point presentation on Tourism on that day. He emphasised on how we should utilise our resources to make our land tourists friendly.
Region Chairman Ln.Nagaraj Bairy and Zone Chairman Ln.Nirmala graced the occassion. Chief Guest and Guest of Honour were honoured in a traditional way.
On part of service activity, we donated Rs.5000/- to Master Saagar, a TB patient for monthly medicinal expenses.
Our club took part in Peace Poster Contest held on 10th November, organised by Region Chairman Ln.Nagaraj Bairy at National History museum. We contributed Rs.3000/- towards the same.

Activities Report For The Month Of October 2013
LCM Garden City conducted its BOD and General Body Meeting for the month of October on 23rd at Hotel Coastal Gardens, Mysore. On this occassion, Sri.Jaidevaraj Urs, Lecturer at Maharaja Junior College was the special guest and addressed the gathering on Swamy Vivekananda. As the whole country is observing 2013 as Swamy Vivekananda’s 150th birth celebration year, our club also appropriately joined hands for this celebration.
On this occassion, Sri Jaidevraj Urs released our first edition of quarterly bulletin MANDARA. Editor Ln.Manjunath T received the first copy from the Chief Guest.
On 11th of October, we donated an UPS and Battery to J.P.Nagar Anganwadi School for the benefit of children of Sweepers Colony. Our member Ln.Suresh was the donor for this project. This was well publicised in Newspapers.
We would like to inform you about the receipt and enclosed letter from the Prime Minister’s Office. In the month of July, we have sent DD of Rs.10,000 to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund towards Uttarkand Floods. For that we have received the acknowledgement which was published in our bulletin.
New Team Installation - 2013-14
The new team of office bearers headed by Lion Vani Subramanya of Lions Club of Mysore Gardencity for the Lionistic year 2013-14 was installed in a glittering function in Hotel Pai Vista on Friday 19th July by 2nd Vice District Governor Lion C.HemanthKumar. Lion Roopa Rajashekar & Lion Shalini Nagaraj were installed has Secretary & Treasurer respectively.
The function started with the melodious invocation by Archana Rajesh, flag salutation by Lion Ramdas, Installation committee Chairman Lion B.N.Prabhakar welcomed the gathering. Secretary 2012-13 Lion B.C.Yoganand gave detailed report on activities of the Club during the previous year. Outgoing President Lion V.Nagaraj mjf in his remarks recognised all those committee members who were awarded by the District Governor Lion M.V.Deviprasad for their excellent services to the club during 2012-13. Lion V.Nagaraj along with 4 other past presidents were also honoured for their services in making the club has the Best Club for the Lionistic year 2012-13 which is the highest award for a club in the District.
As part of the service activity, the Club donated 15 sets of sweaters, blankets, utensils & bathroom kits to the destitutes who are provided accomodation by the city corporation. An UPS & Battery were also donated to sweepers colony in JP nagar.
The Chief Guest of the occasion Sri Chetan Ram, renowned trainer, founder & Managing Director of AMCAD spoke on the necessary leadership qualities. Immediate Past District Governor Lion M.V.Deviprasad, Region Chairperson Lion V.Nagaraj & Zone Person Lion Dr.Nirmala graced the occasion.

Independence day Celebration at Huyilalu Govt. School
Independence Day was celebrated @ our adopted school in Huyilalu Govt School on Aug 15th. Flag Hoisted, sweets were distributed and Geometry boxes were distributed for the school children on this occassion. Cultural programme was organised by the school children.
HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP ON AUGUST 31ST 2013
Last day of the August was yet another service activity day for our club. In association of Mata Amritananda Mayi Mutt we have organised a health check up camp @Shivapura, HD kote Road Mysore. Around hundred patients were benefited in this health camp. Free medicines were distributed for the patients.

Donating Blankets, Sweaters, Utensils and Toilet Kits for 15 Inmates of a destitute centre in Narayana Shastri Road On 24Th July 2013. Well known Personality of Mysore and newly Elected Corporator Sri.Snake Sham was the Chief Guest on this occassion.
