Club Projects
The Mt. Pleasant Lions Club has:
- Installed handicapped accessible playground equipment at both Edwards Park and Heritage Park in Mt. Pleasant.
- Constructed a pavilion allowing for more recreational enjoyment of Town Lake.
- Added a fishing pier at Heritage Park.
- Constructed a pavilion at Fair Park Baseball complex.
- Contributed to the TRMC Cancer Center.
- Contributed to the K’s for Kids Project which provided technological advanced pediatric equipment and facility improvements to TRMC’s Pediatric Unit.
- Provided Tornado Relief - Canton Texas
- Built a pavilion at the County Park at Lake Bob Sandlin
- Picked up Litter on 2 miles of Highway through the Texas Department of Transportations Adopt-a-Highway Program
- Had a Food Drive to Benefit Titus County Cares Food Pantry
- Donated 300 Pedometers to TRMC to be used for Diabetes Management Education/Awareness
In keeping with the Lions Club International focus of serving the blind and visually impaired:
- Purchased a SPOT Screening Device to be used for vision screenings in the community
- The club pays for eye exams and eyeglasses for local children every year
- Collects eyeglasses from the local community for recycling
- Provided Kindles for Visually Impaired Students
- Provided SPOT Vision Screenings to attendees of the Titus County Fair
The club supports:
- Texas Lions Camp for children with physical disabilities, cancer, and Type 1 diabetic children
- Special Catch

- Lions Club International Foundation
- Texas Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center
- Texas Lions Foundation
The club also:
Provides scholarships for Mount Pleasant, Chapel Hill, and Harts Bluff High School graduating seniors annually.
Sponsors campers to attend Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville Texas.
